Just for the sake of it, I loaded PopOs! into a #VM
hosted on my Bodhi laptop running #VirtualBox
can be downloaded from the System76 website
and so I did.
It sets up very easily, with lots of little things like establishing a connection to my #NextCloud
instance on my home server as well as the standards like #Google
, etc.. . Once things are set up, the interface is pretty straight forward. But....
The instance I installed really did not do well. Applications that were available tended to lock up, and I mean lock up so they could not be killed.
I would not recommend this ... though my experience might be singular. I don't think so though. I run several other flavors of Linux on that same hardware without issue....
I admit the desktop is clean and the whole thing very simple to navigate. YMMV ...so hesitate to try it, but for me it is not a choice I would make without a lot more poking around on it.
