Signal is an encrypted messaging service that has been around in different forms for about 10 years. Since then, I have seen the software widely adopted by anarchist networks across Canada and the United States. More and more, for better and for worse, our interpersonal and group conversations have moved onto the Signal platform, to the extent that it has become the dominant way anarchists communicate with each other on this continent, with very little public debate about the implications.READ HERE : https://itsgoingdown.org/signal-fails/
John Brown (May 9, 1800 – December 2, 1859) was an American abolitionist who believed in and advocated armed insurrection as the only way to overthrow the institution of slavery in the United States.READ MORE : https://www.wikiwand.com/en/John_Brown_(abolitionist)
He was dissatisfied with the pacifism of the organized abolitionist movement: "These men are all talk. What we need is action—action!" In May 1856, Brown and his supporters killed five supporters of slavery in the Pottawatomie massacre, which responded to the sacking of Lawrence by pro-slavery forces. Brown then commanded anti-slavery forces at the Battle of Black Jack (June 2) and the Battle of Osawatomie (August 30, 1856).
Lorenzo Orsetti (February 13, 1986 – March 18, 2019), also known as Orso and Tekoşer Piling, was an Italian anarcho-communist and antifascist from Florence who fought against ISIL with the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) in Syria.
Lorenzo was a chef by trade, sommelier and worked in different restaurants in Florence. When he lived in Florence, he became interested in the Kurdish conflict, his struggle against the Islamic State and the Rojava revolution, it was there when he met Paolo Andolina, an Italian activist and anarchist who fought against ISIS alongside YPG International. In September 2017 he traveled to Syria where received military training from the People's Protection Units (YPG). Once in Syria he struck up friendship with several Italian antifascist volunteers who were fighting there alongside Kurds.
He met several anarchist and communist militants from all over the world, but especially from Turkey, and was linked to the anarchist battalion IRPGF.
Upon finishing his military training at the YPG International Academy, he joined to the ranks of turkish TKP/ML TIKKO and then fought at the battle of Afrin against the Turkish Army and Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army's jihadists being part of the anarchist battalion Tekoşîna Anarşîst (TA, Anarchist Struggle).
Lorenzo was killed in action on Monday morning March 18, 2019 in the village of Baghouz, Syria. He was in that locality fighting in the Battle of Baghuz Fawqani against the last bastion of the Islamic State in Syria. He was attached to an Arab unit when he and his comrades were killed by ISIS jihadists in an ambush, his death was announced by ISIS media. His death was confirmed by his unit Tekoşîna Anarşîst.
When announcing his death, his comrades shared his last will in which Lorenzo explained why he had decided to travel to Syria and his ideological motives.

Mussolini was captured that same evening, hiding in the back of a truck, trying to flee north disguised as a German grunt.I post pictures / meme every day about anarchy and other cool stuff.
Three days later, Colonel Valerio (war name of Walter Audisio, communist organizer and partisan) arrived to carry out his death sentence. Mussolini was shot by Valerio personally, while the fascist leadership caught with him was executed by firing squad.
The bodies were then driven to Milan and set up in the same square, Piazzale Loreto, where months earlier the fascists had murdered and exposed the bodies of 15 Italians, some of them resistance fighters and some rounded up for numbers from the ranks of "criminals" like labour organizers.
A huge crowd gathered to defile the bodies, prompting the picket of partisans to string them up and out of reach on the railing of the Piazzale Loreto gas station. This is where the famous photos of Mussolini strung up upside down come from.
The institutional left continues to fail us at all levels, rewarding our votes with austerity, reactionary border politics, patriarchal structures, and a dying planet. Now more than ever, we need to develop methods in order to survive and to build a world that the people who come after us can live in.people of color is the umbrella term for all who face oppression based in racism
The Stockholm Anarchist Bookfair will host discussions and workshops about how we as groups and individuals can fight oppression, and create and maintain horizontal structures and autonomous spaces. There will also be information tables from various publishers, organizations, and radical initiatives. We’re looking to build the skills that we need to fight for a better world.
The Stockholm Bookfair is an inclusive space. The total liberation of non-men, people of color*, queers and crips** is essential to anarchism and the success of class struggle. This liberation requires a fully intersectional feminism based in mutual aid and solidarity. We aim to build counter power for people whose existences are suppressed. White supremacy, patriarchy and ableism must be resisted at every level – especially when we encounter it within our autonomous and leftist movements.
Saturday June 1 is our main day, full of events at our venue Midsommargården. There will also be activities spread across town on Friday evening and during the day on Sunday!
There is still time to get involved so please contact us via email if you would like to contribute to the program or the bookfair in any way. Though we welcome proposals from everyone, we’d especially like to hear from people who speak from a non-man, POC, queer or crip perspective.
See you in June!
