My step kids were drooling over the new #cyber
"it's self driving and bullet proof and has a range of 500 miles, " they slobbered.
Look, folks, you can't claim that technology is advancing if it becomes so complicated you can't understand it, and need to beg a team "in a cloud" to "allow" you to drive more than 250 miles.
Technological advancement used to be measured by how much simpler the advances made life. We've now been led to believe we're advancing because of how complicated things have become.
I doubt this cyber truck will be easy to work on. I doubt the average Joe will be able to change a headlight in the thing. Or diagnose a no start. But I'm sure the slick Apple-like marketing will include rebuttals such as "but why would you want to? " good luck dummies.
Advanced should mean simpler, IMO.
