Your forests are your second largest storehouses of carbon after oceans. You take them for granted, you cut their trees, you take away it's biodiversity, with your agriculture, your unsustainability manners, your mining and from fires. 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity is found in forests, yet, they are disappearing in silent. Because of human activity. Because your confort is way too good to be changed for more ethic and sustainable ways. At least, forests and everything they contain will still be on pictures, on videos and on books, even when there will be none of it left. Yes, one day, if you don't protect them, forests will be gone. It's 2019, and 40% of the world's forests has already been lost. Maybe you can protect the 60% left. Maybe you can restore the 40%. You can, all it requires is to trade your confort for action and change, and NOW is a good time to do it.
Avoid palm oil, reduce your footprint, buy responsibly, recycle, reduce your paper use, trade books. Make a change. Change the future.
"When we take away the forest, it is not just the trees that go. The entire ecosystem begins to fall apart, with dire consequences for all of us." 🌎💚
