Police dismisses #BDS protestA group of us protested against this disgraceful and dishonest claim outside the Chancellery in Berlin. We held placards reading “Netanyahu is a Holocaust denier.”
[...]With a sword of Damocles above my head, I had to withdraw from political activity in case it would put my doctoral studies at risk.
There is a usual problem with such some claims - you will have to provide some viable sources that argue in favour of your claims. Discrediting a leader without being able to name a source that backs them is a crime, as far as I know. And also, it simply is bad taste, we should be better than the others. As for your PhD, you should be more careful, I guess, or be able to balance the risks.
Regarding police violence, we have a severe problem with this, I know, most of our policemen are fascists and other kinds of dangerous right-wingers, it's crystal clear to everyone, nothing unusual or unknown. Especially when you support a non-right position, you will become a problem to them, and they are known to remove their problems with enthusiasm.
(Also, I don't like this futile and haltless comparison to Hitler's Third Reich; come on guys, we've been through this discussion of using Hitler as a trump card, please, grow up and find a better example, one that fits more. We have other fascist groups who prospered because of a lack of activism on the civic's behalf)
