Iran looks like it's currently experiencing a second wave of Covid-19 infections. It seems to be the first country to do so. Second waves are usually much larger than the first waves for example the second wave of the 1918 Spanish Influenza infection was about four times the size of the first wave.
This round of Iran's infections seems to located in the Sistan and Baluchistan province, Kermanshah, and Hormozgan, so these infections seem to be taking place in cities that were mostly untouched on the first wave. The data that Iran released may have been inaccurate so this might just be a combination of poor data and a continuing infection moving to untouched cities.
In any case, I wish my best for the people of Iran.
