See Large Images in any diaspora pod with Lightbox
When you click images here a diaspora pod you want to see these as big a possible?
1. Install the Tampermonkey extension
- this is available for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera Next and Safari.
After this extension is installed you should see the Tampermonkey icon in your browser’s toolbar (most browsers show this on the top right).
- Get the script from GreasyFork and click on the green [Install this script] button.
- Reload your pod tabs and it should work. On supported pages the Tampermonkey icon will show a red notification overlay with a number to indicate how many active scripts are running.
Click on a picture (e.g. the one in this post) and it should open the picture in full resolution. Note this will only work on images that have been uploaded here. It will not work with embedded images from external sources.Enjoy!
Oh, and in case you followed by earlier recommendation
, please stop scaling down your pictures now
. However the 4.2MB upload limit is still there.More Details: What it Does
The full resolution image is still available on the server. However the lightbox does not link to the full resolution image, just to a scaled down version. This script replaces the image URL of the smaller version with the one of the bigger version. That’s all the magic. The bigger version will be loaded after you clicked the image. Not earlier. So the load on the server should not be increased a lot. However you will notice that it takes a bit longer to open the full screen image after opening the lightbox.https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/373330-diaspora-large-lightbox
