This was fun to do - i made guides at 10percent intervals on a 500x500, scaled 20 photos and sat them in the grid (snap to guides). I think it would be better if i'd used more pics and didn't just use the same two rows of 20 pics. One could make a pattern (.pat) out of the little pics to fill the bg, but i didn't. Bc slack. Which meant far more work.
Desaturated (Average) and popped a piccy of my big fat head under the first layer; set the top layer to whichever pleased most and adjusted the opacity (in this case, Overlay at 62.0).
Other things i'd do differently: batch modify - scaling 20 pics was a tad monotonous // adjust the white strip of light/hair, maybe crop that side off entirely // arrange scaled pics so a big dark blob isnt at the same position as my little button nose.
Interestingly, do i wear blue eyeshadow? never in my life. :)
A very fun technique. I'm sure to give it another try - maybe sepia bg pics or convert the image to b&w...oooh use a falling-down shed instead of a face. that might look good. give it a go :D
